Q-SERS

The Q-SERS substrate, designed to generate Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) signals when used with a Raman Spectroscope, is capable of detecting trace amount of chemical and biochemical agents. Q-SERS substrates can provide high enhancement of Raman signals, reliable and reproducible testing results, and long shelf life. The superior performance of the Q-SERS substrate makes it ideal for analytical chemistry, agricultural and food safety, water safety, pharmaceutical, medical, forensic science, and many other applications.

A Q-SERS substrate is basically a Si wafer of 5 mm X 5 mm with nanostructures glued on a standard microscope glass slide (3 inch by 1 inch). Q-SERS G1 has the following features:

Q-SERS features unique bimodal distribution of larger particles of 60nm scattered on the surface and smaller nanoparticles of 15 nm evenly and completely covering the whole surface, providing more hot-spots.

With typical laser spot size of 1-10 mm, Q-SERS provide smaller spot-spot variation.
